BIO

I am a Canadian metal artist who designs and creates precious art to adorn the body. I graduated from the Alberta College of Art and Design in 1999 with Honors, majoring in Jewellery and Metal. Working with sterling silver, anodized titanium, patinas, semiprecious and precious stones, and gold, I create jewellery that is influenced by nature, architecture, and fashion. My Design philosophy of organic infused with industrial is demonstrated through a mix of natural shapes and geometric structures, with great attention to detail and quality of workmanship. I now reside in Regina, Saskatchewan where I maintain a wonderful studio and am a part time Jewellery Instructor at the Neil Balkwill Civic Arts Centre.

At 10:30am on March 22, 2009, Michele said…Thanks for the friend invite Melody. I am very new to metal work and have been completely consumed by it! I did not know such a passion existed. As I only took one course in silversmith techniques of jewelry making, I am, and will continue to be, primarily self-taught. This site seemed like an amazing sharing and support for metal artists in Canada!
If you know of anyone selling tools, I would be most interested. I am now looking for a used rolling mill in good condition as it is getting very expensive starting out! Thanks!
