YWCA Women of Distinction Awards, presented by Sun Life Financial, are in their 30th year. Since 1981, the YWCA has
recognized the unique contributions women have made to improve the
lives of other women and girls in the City of Toronto. These
prestigious Awards are presented annually at an awards dinner, and
on May 12, 2010 we will be celebrating 30 years of inspiration, at
the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
The YWCA Women of Distinction Awards honours women who have worked to improve the lives of other women and girls in the GTA and
around the world. It is the YWCA’s most critical fundraising event,
supporting more than 40 YWCA programs across Toronto, helping women
and girls achieve equality, economic sustainability and lives free
from violence.
